The Bandlaguda Police have arrested Shabana, the wife of Mohd Masiuddin, and her stepson Sameer in connection with the murder of Masiuddin, which occurred on Tuesday at Crystal Township.

Masiuddin, who had been married to Shabana for 12 years, had gone to her house on the day of the incident. His body was discovered later that evening, and police confirmed that Masiuddin had been tied up, and his throat slit with a knife by the assailants. After ensuring that he was dead, the suspects fled the scene.

The murder came to light when Masiuddin’s relatives grew concerned after he stopped answering calls. They found his car parked outside the house but discovered that the door was locked. After breaking it open, they found Masiuddin’s body in the hall.

Relatives of Masiuddin suspect that Shabana, Sameer, and another individual, Fareed, were involved in the murder. The police have taken Shabana and Sameer into custody, while Fareed remains absconding.

The police are also investigating the involvement of an advocate and a local leader, following allegations that they might have aided and encouraged Shabana. Initial findings suggest that the murder could have stemmed from a property dispute and a possible extramarital affair involving Fareed.
