Bagli Police Arrest Rizwan Hussain in Jewellers Theft

Gold ornaments worth Rs 1.10 lakh recovered

Bagli police arrested an absconding thief, Rizwan Hussain of Aman Colony, Bhopal, in connection with a daylight robbery at Shriji Jewellers in Bagli’s main market.

The theft occurred on November 9, 2025, when Hussain allegedly stole four gold pendants and 28 gold nose ornaments, valued at approximately Rs 1.10 lakh, before fleeing the scene.

The arrest was executed under “Operation Hawalat”, an initiative across Dewas district led by SP Puneet Gehlot to curb professional crimes. Inspector Abhinav Shukla, along with his team, conducted the operation, recovering the stolen items.

Hussain was produced before the Bagli court and remanded to judicial custody at Bagli jail by First Class Judicial Magistrate Babita Prajapati.

Police officials involved in the operation included Sub-Inspector Parvati Dabar, ASI Manoj Sharma, Head Constables Yashwant Singh Tomar and Rampratap Singh Chauhan, and Constables Mahesh Sisodia, Anil Damor, and Arun Chauhan.
