BACOLOD CITY, Philippines – A known theft suspect was arrested in a drug-bust operation conducted by the Bacolod City Police Station 3 on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, in Purok Kitahanon, Barangay Banago.
The suspect, identified by authorities only as alias “Aldren,” 33, was apprehended at around 4:02 p.m. after he allegedly sold a sachet of suspected shabu to an undercover police operative.
According to Captain Liberty Indiape, spokesperson of the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO), the operation led to the recovery of multiple sachets of a substance believed to be shabu weighing 5.1 grams, with an estimated street value of ₱34,680, along with marked money used in the buy-bust.
Indiape revealed that Aldren has been linked to multiple theft incidents in Bacolod City, particularly in Eroreco Subdivision, Barangay Mandalagan, and Bugnay Street, Barangay Villamonte.
The suspect is currently detained at Police Station 3’s custodial facility and will face charges for violating Republic Act 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
“We will continue to intensify our campaign against illegal drugs and criminality in the city to ensure a safer and more secure community for all Bacolodnons,” Indiape stated.
She also called on residents who may have been victims of Aldren’s past criminal activities to come forward and report to the nearest police station to pursue legal action.
