Ayodhya Police Arrest SP Leader Raja Maan Singh for Counterfeit Currency

Raja Maan Singh, wife, and others held for fraud, threats in Ayodhya

On Tuesday, Ayodhya police arrested Raja Maan Singh, a youth wing leader of the Samajwadi Party, along with his wife, brother, and eight others. The group is accused of dealing in counterfeit currency, soliciting real estate investments through false promises, and issuing threats when investors demanded their money back.

Raja Maan Singh serves as the national secretary of the Samajwadi Yuvjan Sabha and is also a zila panchayat member from Ayodhya.

Ayodhya’s Senior Superintendent of Police, Gaurav Grover, confirmed the arrests and revealed that Rs 8 lakh in counterfeit money was seized from Singh’s residence.

Parasnath Yadav, the Samajwadi Party’s Ayodhya district president, confirmed Singh’s affiliation with the party.
