Ayla Pigeon, 2 Others Charged in Sault Ste. Marie Break-Ins

Stolen credit card used after business burglaries on Wellington St.

SAULT STE. MARIE, Ont. — Three individuals have been arrested and charged following a series of break-ins at a Sault Ste. Marie business in the 300 block of Wellington Street West earlier this month.

According to police, the investigation revealed that the accused stole a wallet during one of the break-ins and used the stolen credit card to make purchases at several local businesses.

Arrests and Charges

Ayla Pigeon, 35, was arrested last Wednesday near Moody Street and Wallace Terrace. She faces multiple charges, including:

Break and Enter

Three counts of Failure to Comply with Probation Order

Failure to Comply with Release Order

Three counts of Possession of a Stolen Credit Card

Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000

Theft and Trafficking of a Credit Card

Use of a Stolen Credit Card

Corey Marshall, 48, was arrested on Thursday in the 200 block of Second Line West and charged with:

Two counts of Break and Enter

Mischief Under $5,000

Operation While Prohibited

Theft, Possession, and Trafficking of a Stolen Credit Card

Two counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000

Three counts of Use of a Stolen Credit Card

Ryan Lafleur, 31, was arrested Friday in the 600 block of Wellington Street West. His charges include:

Break and Enter

Failure to Comply with Probation Order

Theft, Possession, and Trafficking of a Stolen Credit Card

Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000

Three counts of Use of a Stolen Credit Card

Police have stated that none of the allegations have been proven in court, and all three accused are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
