An Auxvasse man, Gilbert Arcala, was arrested in Miller County on Friday after a traffic stop led to the discovery of drugs and firearms in his vehicle.

At 10:08 p.m., a Miller County deputy pulled Arcala over for a traffic violation. A K-9 unit alerted the deputy to the presence of drugs in the car. Upon further inspection, authorities found a significant amount of illegal substances, including 52.7 grams of cocaine, 3.9 grams of ketamine, 4.5 grams of crystal MDMA, 2.3 grams of powder MDMA, 14 methamphetamine pills, and two loaded handguns.

As a result of the discovery, prosecutors charged Arcala with four counts of delivering controlled substances and two counts of unlawful use of a weapon while in possession of a felony controlled substance.

Arcala was arrested and later released from the Miller County Jail after posting a $150,000 bond. The investigation continues as the case moves forward.
