BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — Aurea E. Hernandez, 30, was arrested on May 15, 2025, on multiple drug and firearm charges during a custodial interference investigation by the Warren County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to a call in the 8000 block of Cemetery Road. At the scene, a silver Lexus arrived driven by Hernandez, who claimed to be the cousin of a missing juvenile.
Officers detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. Hernandez admitted to possessing an empty marijuana package but denied having any other illegal items.
A probable cause search of the vehicle uncovered a stolen Glock 42 pistol, cocaine, fentanyl, methamphetamine, and trafficking amounts of narcotics.
Hernandez was charged with trafficking in controlled substances (including cocaine, fentanyl, methamphetamine, and marijuana), possession of drug paraphernalia, receiving a stolen firearm, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
The investigation remains ongoing.
