Attingal police arrested 38-year-old Joby George of Puthuppally, Kottayam, on Thursday in connection with the murder of a woman found dead in a lodge.
The victim, Asmitha, 40, from Kozhikode, was discovered in a room at the Green Line Lodge on Wednesday morning. Police said Joby George, an employee of the lodge, had checked in with her the previous night, introducing her as his wife.
Investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances leading to the murder and George’s motives. Authorities are reviewing lodge records and CCTV footage as part of the inquiry.
