Attapur police arrested two individuals for allegedly stealing gold and silver ornaments from a house in Chintalmet on Friday. The accused, identified as Mohammed Junaid (21) and Syed Nayab (19), are residents of Rajendranagar.
According to authorities, the suspects entered the house while the owner was away and broke the lock of a cupboard to steal gold and silver articles. The theft was discovered when the homeowner returned and noticed the missing items.
Following a complaint, the police registered a case and took Junaid and Nayab into custody on suspicion. During interrogation, both confessed to committing the theft. The police have formally arrested and remanded them, and further investigation is ongoing.
