During the arrest, the police recovered a stolen red Splendor bike, a full thief’s toolkit containing a screwdriver, pliers, and a wrench, along with Rs. 1.49 lakh in cash and three mobile phones. The investigation is ongoing as police continue to gather information about the suspects’ activities.

In a separate operation in Assam, the East Guwahati Police District (EGPD) team from Basistha Police Station successfully recovered a stolen scooty (AS01EX1673) within 24 hours of its theft in Khanapara. Acting on specific inputs, the police traced the vehicle to Jogdol, Sonapur, where they arrested two suspects—Mondip Konwar (24) and Damun Rabha (30)—in connection with the theft. The scooty was recovered, and legal proceedings are underway. Investigations will determine if the suspects are involved in other thefts.
