Acting on a tip-off, Amnour police arrested five miscreants on Thursday, thwarting their plan to sell a stolen tractor. The tractor was stolen after the driver was stabbed near Dumduma pond on May 16.
The police first apprehended two suspects found in possession of a country-made pistol, two live cartridges, and a knife. Based on the statement of one accused, Ashutosh Kumar Tiwari alias Chunnu, the stolen tractor was recovered, leading to the arrest of three more suspects.
The additional arrested individuals are Pintu Kumar, Vishal Kumar Singh, Nitish Kumar alias Nikhil, and Daroga Ray, all residents of Marhaura, Saran.
A case under relevant sections of the BNS Act has been registered, and the police are conducting further raids to apprehend other accomplices involved in the crime.
