City Police, CIA-3 Unit: The CIA-3 unit has cracked a high-value theft case involving gold ornaments, coins, and a large amount of cash with the arrest of Ashok Saini, a resident of Sector 16. He was apprehended near Meera Ghati Chowk and found in possession of 11 tolas of stolen gold, a coin, and Rs 11.5 lakh.
Ashok Saini had been employed as a plumber at a reputed school for nearly eight years. On the night of August 28, he allegedly stole gold jewelry and a significant sum of cash from the school premises. The school lodged a complaint, and a case was registered on August 29 at the city police station.
According to Ajay Kumar, in-charge of CIA-3, the investigation led to Saini’s arrest and recovery of the stolen valuables, bringing the case to a swift conclusion.
