Omaha, NE — Omaha Police arrested 19-year-old Ashlynn Slaughter Sunday night after she allegedly assaulted two officers during a disturbance following a car crash near 30th and Parker streets.
Authorities reported that officers arrived on the scene of the crash and disturbance. When an officer attempted to detain Slaughter, she struck one officer in the face. During the incident, a loud disturbance was heard over the police radio, prompting a ‘Help an officer’ call that was later canceled.
As officers tried to take Slaughter into custody, she also assaulted a second officer. Both officers suffered minor injuries and did not require hospital treatment.
Slaughter was charged with two counts of assault on an officer, obstructing a peace officer, and resisting arrest.
In connection with the incident, 20-year-old Camarion Elmore was also arrested and charged with obstructing a peace officer.
