Ashley Grayson Sentenced to 10 Years for Murder-for-Hire Scheme

Ashley Grayson, an online course coach who gained fame for her business success, has been sentenced to 10 years in federal prison for a murder-for-hire plot.

On Thursday, Grayson, 34, was sentenced after being convicted of using interstate commerce facilities to commission a murder-for-hire. Federal authorities revealed that Grayson, along with her husband, Joshua, contacted a hitman in Tennessee between August and September 2022. The hired killer was paid to murder an individual identified in court documents as “D.H.” However, the planned victim was never harmed.

Grayson was found guilty in March 2023, while her husband was acquitted of any involvement. She will serve her sentence at a federal facility in Fort Worth, Texas, and faces three years of supervised release afterward.

Grayson was widely known for her online course, Digital Course Recipe, through which she taught others to create profitable online businesses. She reportedly made $1 million in less than an hour upon launching the course in 2021. Grayson’s social media presence skyrocketed following her extravagant yacht proposal featuring a performance by R&B singer Monica, which went viral.

However, allegations soon surfaced, suggesting that Grayson’s online success was exaggerated and tied to a workers’ compensation settlement after an injury at a previous job. She was also involved in a legal battle against a critic who claimed her online reputation was harmed by accusations of harassment.

Despite her online fame, Grayson’s criminal case has drawn attention, with some users questioning the severity of her sentence, considering no one died in the plot. Reactions on social media have been mixed, with some expressing sympathy for her family, while others are critical of her actions.

Meanwhile, her husband, Joshua, is pursuing a new business venture, having opened a franchise location of The B-12 Store in San Antonio, which specializes in vitamin injections.

The case has left a lasting impact on Grayson’s followers, with many shocked by the turn of events.
