TITUS COUNTY, Texas (KLTV) – Ashley Bryan Campbell, a 41-year-old contractor from Gilmer, has been arrested and charged with theft after allegedly accepting a substantial deposit for a construction project but failing to begin any work.
The Titus County Sheriff’s Office announced Friday that Campbell took a deposit from a commercial business in Titus County in 2023. However, the work was never started.
Campbell was booked into the Titus County Jail on a theft charge involving property valued between $30,000 and $150,000.
The investigation remains ongoing.
