by Ananya Mehta

Three days after the Trimulgherry police filed criminal cases against four individuals for trespassing into a military establishment in Secunderabad, authorities arrested the prime accused, Ashish Kumar, on charges of conspiring to commit job fraud.

Ashish Kumar, originally from Bihar, is a repeat offender, according to police sources. He works for a private security agency in Hyderabad and reportedly deceived several women from his native region by promising them outsourcing jobs.

The accused lured two women to Hyderabad after taking money from them under the false pretext of securing employment. He then brought them to the army canteen in Secunderabad, assuring them they would be posted there.

When the women began taking pictures of the military area, the defence sentries grew suspicious and detained them before handing them over to police.

Ashish Kumar has been remanded to judicial custody as investigations continue.
