A 22-year-old man, Asad Khan, has been charged following a shooting in Smethwick that left a man seriously injured.
The incident occurred on 23 November on St Pauls Road, when the victim was shot in the leg and rushed to hospital with serious injuries.
Khan faces multiple charges, including possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life and taking a vehicle without consent. Police also discovered Class A drugs during a related search, resulting in additional charges. He has been remanded to appear at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court.
This is the second person charged in connection with the attack. Earlier, a 19-year-old man was charged with firearm possession with intent to endanger life, wounding, driving offences, and possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply.
West Midlands Police emphasized that their ongoing work under Operation Target aims to tackle serious organized crime and prevent people from falling victim to traumatic or harmful incidents.
Detective officers continue their investigation to identify all those involved and ensure community safety across the region.
