Arunachal Police Arrest Laluk Man in Rs 3.5 Cr Jewellery Heist

Sadikul Islam Nabbed; Rs 3 Cr Recovered in Crackdown

In a major crackdown on interstate crime, Arunachal Pradesh Police (APP) have arrested Sadikul Islam, a 26-year-old resident of Laluk, Lakhimpur district, Assam, in connection with a high-profile jewellery burglary. The stolen property, including traditional jewellery worth Rs 3.5 crore, was taken from the residence of Tana Jesy Tara in Amba Village, Papum Pare district, on the night of December 26–27, 2025.

Police recovered stolen property valued at approximately Rs 3 crore from the accused. The operation was conducted under DMK PS Case No. 174/25, Section 305(A) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The investigation was led by SDPO Radhe Obing, SI M.A. Nur Alom, and ASI T.D. Goiba, under the supervision of SP Gusar, in coordination with Laluk Police Station.

Authorities have also issued lookout notices for two more suspects believed to be connected to the case. Police continue to investigate to recover the remaining stolen property and apprehend the other suspects involved.
