Kapurthala police on patrol duty arrested Arshpreet Singh, a young man from Boota village, following a high-speed chase near Talwandi Mehma in the Subhanpur area. The police received a tip-off that Singh was carrying heroin while riding a black motorcycle (PB-08-CC-3853).
When officers signaled Singh to stop, he tried to escape but lost control, causing his motorcycle to skid. Police apprehended him and recovered a transparent packet containing 60 grams of heroin from his possession. Additionally, Rs40,000 was found in the motorcycle’s document compartment.
Authorities have registered a case under the NDPS Act, and the seized heroin, cash, and motorcycle are now in police custody.
