Aristh Rodriguez Linares Arrested in Lexington Murder Case

Lexington, Neb. — A 33-year-old man, Aristh Rodriguez Linares, has been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting incident on Tuesday night.

At approximately 10:45 p.m., Lexington Police officers responded to a report of a verbal altercation in the Cypress Lane area, east of town. Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered a deceased man inside a vehicle, which was found stalled in the front yard of a home. The vehicle showed signs of damage, with numerous holes in the windshield and front of the car.

Linares was taken into custody and booked into the Dawson County jail, facing charges of first-degree murder, use of a weapon to commit a felony, and discharging a firearm into a vehicle or person. The identity of the victim is being withheld at this time, and an autopsy is scheduled for later this week. The investigation is ongoing.
