Antonio Valentin, Six Others Charged in Wilmington Drug Bust

Crack, heroin, pills, and marijuana seized in June 2 raid

WILMINGTON, DE — Seven individuals have been arrested following a targeted drug enforcement operation in Wilmington, Delaware. The arrests stem from an ongoing investigation by the Wilmington Police Department’s Drug, Organized Crime, and Vice Division focused on suspected drug activity in the 1800 block of West 5th Street.

The investigation, which began in May, culminated in the execution of a search warrant on June 2 at around 11:16 a.m. Officers took seven men into custody without incident and seized a range of illegal substances, including 6.0 grams of crack cocaine, 0.60 grams of heroin, 98 grams of marijuana, 73 Oxycodone pills, and drug paraphernalia.

Arrested Individuals and Charges
Antonio Valentin (20) – Charged with two counts of possession with intent to deliver, tampering with physical evidence, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution.

Andre Gershad (32) – Charged with possession with intent to deliver in a Tier 3 quantity. Released on $20,000 unsecured bail.

Taron Williams (23) – Charged with possession with intent to deliver. Released on $5,000 unsecured bail.

Jamar Roane (34) – Charged with two counts of possession with intent to deliver and tampering with evidence. Released on $5,000 unsecured bail.

Nakai Thomas (26) – Charged with possession with intent to deliver. Released on $2,500 unsecured bail.

Devon Hargraves (34) – Had an outstanding warrant and is charged with possession with intent to deliver and tampering with evidence. He was committed to Howard R. Young Correctional Institution.

Zayd Granby (18) – Charged with one count of possession of a controlled substance. Released on $200 unsecured bail.

All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court. Authorities have not ruled out further developments as the investigation continues.
