Antonio Kajuan Shockley, 26, of New Bern, was arrested and charged with multiple felony drug trafficking offenses after deputies seized nearly 50 grams of methamphetamine and opioids during a probation search. The Craven County Sheriff’s Office, alongside the N.C. Department of Public Safety Probation and Parole, conducted the search Thursday at Shockley’s residence on Albacore Lane.
K-9 Tia located illegal narcotics inside the home, leading to the confiscation of over 48 grams of methamphetamine, more than 20 grams of opioids, marijuana, U.S. currency, and a firearm. Shockley faces charges including felony trafficking of opioids and methamphetamine by possession, possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver a Schedule II controlled substance, felony possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
At the time of the arrest, Shockley was on probation for previous felony drug and firearm possession charges. He is currently held in Craven County jail on a $985,000 secured bond.
