CELINA, OHIO — The Celina Police Department has arrested Antonio Chirinos (21) and Victor Osorio (27) on charges of fifth-degree felony theft, following an investigation into stolen property valued between $1,000 and $7,500.

Both men are currently being held without bond at the Mercer County Adult Detention Center and are awaiting a Mercer County Common Pleas Court hearing.

Under Ohio Revised Code 2913.02, theft becomes a felony when the value of the stolen property or services exceeds $1,000. In this case, the value places the offense in the category of a fifth-degree felony—the lowest level felony under Ohio law but still a serious charge that could carry up to 12 months in prison and a fine of up to $2,500 if convicted.

Authorities have not yet disclosed further details about the nature of the theft or the items involved. The case remains under investigation, and court dates are expected to be scheduled soon.
