BOISE, Idaho — Ada County Sheriff’s Office detectives arrested a man on drug trafficking charges after a traffic stop on Interstate 84 led to the seizure of large quantities of illegal drugs.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, Narcotics Unit detectives working alongside the K9 Unit stopped a vehicle traveling westbound on I-84 in Boise around 1:08 p.m. on Dec. 11, 2025. The stop followed a tip indicating a possible drug shipment was moving through the area.
During the investigation, deputies discovered approximately two pounds of methamphetamine, suspected psilocybin mushrooms, and assorted drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle.
The driver, identified as 46-year-old Anthony Guardia, was taken into custody and booked into the Ada County Jail on felony drug trafficking charges.
The investigation remains ongoing.
