EAGLE SPRINGS, N.C. — Two individuals were arrested after a significant drug bust in Eagle Springs, following the execution of a search warrant by the Moore County Sheriff’s Office.
According to a press release from Sheriff Ronnie Fields, deputies executed a search warrant on August 27 at a residence in the 9400 block of N.C. Highway 705. The search resulted in the seizure of suspected fentanyl, methamphetamine, amphetamine, marijuana, and multiple items of drug paraphernalia.
Anthony Early, 25, of Eagle Springs, was arrested and faces multiple drug-related charges, including:
Possession with intent to sell and deliver a Schedule II controlled substance
Felony possession of a Schedule II controlled substance
Possession with intent to sell and deliver methamphetamine
Possession of methamphetamine
Possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana
Maintaining a vehicle or dwelling for a controlled substance
Simple possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance
Possession of drug paraphernalia
Early was booked into the Moore County Detention Center under a $50,000 secured bond. His court appearance is scheduled for September 17 in Moore County District Court.
Sonya Early, 56, also of Eagle Springs, was arrested on a charge of resisting a public officer. She was released on a written promise to appear and is also due in court on September 17.
Authorities remind the public that all suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
