Ankit and Ketan Tokas Arrested in Delhi Alloy Wheel Theft

Three stolen alloy wheels recovered, suspects held

South West District Police, Delhi have arrested two men involved in multiple alloy wheel thefts following a detailed investigation aided by CCTV footage and technical surveillance.

The accused were identified as Ankit (37), a resident of Mohan Garden, and Ketan Tokas, both from New Delhi.

According to a press release by Kishangarh Police Station, officers recovered three stolen alloy wheels with tyres, tools used for the theft, and a Hyundai Aura car used in the crimes. The case pertains to e-FIR No. 80008769/26, registered on January 29, 2026, after V. Kumar of Katwaria Sarai reported the theft of an alloy wheel and tyre from his parked Hyundai Aura.

A special investigation team, including SI Dharmendra, HC Yogesh, HC Ashok, Constable Sanjeev, and Ct. Dharmendra, worked under Inspector Ajai Kumar Yadav (SHO, Kishangarh) and ACP Melvin Varghese (Safdarjung Enclave).

CCTV footage revealed suspicious individuals near the complainant’s car on January 28. Technical surveillance and mobile tracking led police to Ankit’s Hyundai Aura, which was used in the thefts. He was apprehended along with the vehicle and confessed to the crimes, leading to the recovery of three stolen alloy wheels.

Following Ankit’s disclosure, co-accused Ketan Tokas was arrested. Police noted that both accused are chronic drug addicts, committing thefts to fund their substance abuse. With these arrests, three theft cases registered at Kishangarh Police Station have been solved. Further investigation is ongoing.
