The Anjuna police on Tuesday arrested three men in Hanumangarh, Rajasthan, in connection with an attempted murder case registered on October 1 in Nagoa, Goa.
The accused—Radheshyam (31) of Kheda, Haryana, Lekhram Nayak (30), and Sunil Meghwal (29), both from Sirsa, Haryana—are being brought back to Goa for further investigation.
The incident stemmed from a dispute over the delivery of LPG cylinders. According to complainant Kuka Ram, the prime accused, Bagh Singh, along with two unidentified men, brutally assaulted his friend Ashok with an iron rod, targeting his head and other parts of the body with the intent to kill. The trio fled the scene after the attack.
Investigations revealed that Singh had enlisted three men to carry out the assault. Multiple teams from Anjuna police were deployed to Rajasthan to trace the culprits. Despite the accused frequently changing locations to evade arrest, sustained efforts—including technical surveillance and reliable informants—led to their capture in Hanumangarh, under the jurisdiction of Suratgarh police station.
The operation was led by PSI Viraj Naik of Anjuna police, under the supervision of PI Suraj Gawas, Mapusa SDPO Wilson D’Souza, and North Goa SP Rahul Gupta.
