In a strict enforcement drive against drug trafficking, the Anti Narcotic Cell (ANC) Police in Goa arrested Anirudh Ashok Bhogle (25), a resident of Vashi, New Mumbai, on February 21, 2026.
The arrest followed a raid at the parking area of Mapusa Yard (back gate side) between 3:15 pm and 5:30 pm, where police recovered 224 grams of suspected hydroponic weed (ganja) valued at approximately Rs7,84,000.
Authorities also seized Rs8,000 in cash and an Aprilia scooter (GA-03-AK-8783) from Bhogle’s possession. He was produced before the JMFC Court and remanded to eight days of police custody.
The investigation is being led by PSI Saheen Shetye, under the supervision of PI ANC Sagun Sawant and SP Nerlon, with overall supervision by SP ANC Sunita Sawant. The ANC Police emphasized its commitment to cracking down on drug-related offences in the region.
