Andrew Reily and John Lockley Arrested for Fatal Miami Shooting

Miami, FL – Two Arrested in Fatal Shooting of JD Jones Jr.

Two men, Andrew Reily, 31, and John Lockley, 20, have been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred on December 22, 2024, in Miami. The shooting, which took place along the 26000 block of Southwest 138th Court, resulted in the death of 37-year-old JD Jones Jr.

According to the arrest report, the victims were hanging out at the location when the suspects approached them. Jones Jr. was shot immediately upon the suspects’ arrival, while the second victim was shot as he attempted to flee the scene. After following the suspects’ orders and entering a vehicle, the surviving victim was shot in the back of the head. He pretended to be dead, and after the suspects fled, he managed to drive the vehicle to a nearby gas station.

The surviving victim, who knew both Reily and Lockley, was able to positively identify them to investigators. Witnesses corroborated the victim’s account of the events and helped identify the suspects. Police further confirmed the suspects’ identities using cell phone records from both the victims and the suspects.

Both Reily and Lockley were arrested by the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office on Monday. They are facing several felony charges, including second-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, kidnapping, and tampering with evidence.
