McKINNEY, Texas — A McKinney ISD technology team employee, Andrew Hansen, was arrested on May 15 on multiple charges of indecency with a child, according to district officials.
The district emphasized that there is currently no indication the alleged offenses occurred on school campuses or during school hours. However, Hansen had access to all campuses due to his role in the technology department.
Hansen, employed with the district since 2017, was primarily assigned to Wolford Elementary and Evans Middle School. Upon learning of the charges, McKinney ISD placed him on administrative leave and revoked his access to all district property and systems.
Officials confirmed the matter has been reported to the Texas Education Agency and Child Protective Services.
McKinney ISD stated it is cooperating fully with law enforcement and will continue to prioritize student safety while the investigation proceeds.
