Andhra Pradesh: In a major breakthrough, Andhra Pradesh Police have arrested Pranoy Prakash, a key figure in the Rs 3,500-crore liquor scam that occurred during the previous YSRCP administration.
Prakash was apprehended at the Indo-Nepal border while attempting to flee to Dubai. Authorities were alerted to his movements and deployed a police team, aided by an active Look Out Circular (LOC) issued against him.
Law enforcement officials confirmed that Prakash was detained at the dry port region of Sanauli in Uttar Pradesh, ensuring he could not evade justice. He is currently being transported back to Andhra Pradesh to assist ongoing investigations.
Police expect that his arrest will provide critical insights into the scandal’s operations and facilitate legal action against other individuals involved in the case.
