WALLACE, N.C. (WITN) — A man is behind bars after Wallace police responded to a break-in earlier today at Express Mini Mart.
Following an investigation, police arrested Andell Newkirk, charging him with:
Three counts of breaking or entering
Three counts of larceny after the fact
Three counts of possession of stolen goods
Damage to property
Newkirk was taken to the Duplin County Jail, where he is being held under a $150,000 secured bond.
Police say the arrest was made with assistance from local detectives and that the investigation is ongoing.
