BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) — A second suspect, Amyri Ryelle Ross, 19, has been arrested in connection to the fatal Amazon Fulfillment Center shooting on April 28.
Ross was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on Tuesday, July 22, facing charges of accessories after the fact to second-degree murder, according to jail records.
The initial assault occurred near the front entrance of the center on Cortana Place, when Carlgene Nash shot 21-year-old Daylon Anthony following an altercation. Anthony, a former Amazon employee, later died from his injuries. Nash was arrested shortly after and charged with second-degree murder and illegal weapon use.Court documents reveal Ross entered the facility holding a bag for Nash in the lobby moments before the shooting. She then drove Nash away from the scene.This development follows law enforcement’s continued effort to hold all involved parties accountable in the tragic incident.
