DARLINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WMBF) — Amber Smith Bon-Homme, 38, a former food service worker at the W. Glenn Campbell Detention Center, was arrested Wednesday for introducing contraband food into the facility.

The Darlington County Sheriff’s Office reports that Bon-Homme provided unauthorized food items to a select group of inmates on two occasions, May 10 and June 8. Video evidence shows she delivered outside food not purchased by the jail’s food provider, acting beyond her job duties.

Bon-Homme faces two counts of introduction of contraband items. The investigation is ongoing.
