HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. — Two suspects have been arrested and charged in connection with a theft from a Hopkinsville business on East 9th Street earlier this month.
According to Hopkinsville Police, 31-year-old Amber Diehl, of Hopkinsville, was located on North Main Street in possession of a stolen tablet and keys to a stolen vehicle. Both items are believed to be linked to a theft at Atmos Energy that occurred on September 4th.
The investigation led officers to Moseley Drive, where they found 41-year-old James Lewis, of Crofton. At Lewis’s location, additional stolen property was recovered, though authorities say not all items have been found.
Police reported the following items were stolen during the incident:
A pickup truck
Two dirt bikes
Two chainsaws
Battery chargers
Post hole diggers
A concrete saw
Various tools
Lewis was arrested and charged with:
Third-degree burglary
Theft by unlawful taking
Probation violation (outstanding warrant)
Diehl was charged with:
Receiving stolen property
Both suspects are currently in custody as the investigation continues. Police have not ruled out the possibility of additional arrests or charges.
