The Telangana Anti-Narcotics Bureau (ANB), along with Nizamabad police, have arrested five individuals allegedly operating an inter-state alprazolam trafficking network using pharmaceutical front companies across Maharashtra and Telangana.
The accused have been identified as:
Amar Singh Deshmukh
Babu Rao Baswaraj Kadere alias Prasad Kaderi
Parameshwar
Shabbir
Laxman Goud
According to officials, the group used licensed pharmaceutical firms as a cover to manufacture, store and distribute alprazolam, often sold to toddy compound operators in Telangana and Karnataka. The network also supplied store-ready drugs produced in Maharashtra’s Satara district
All five accused have been sent to judicial remand as investigations continue to uncover the full extent of their interstate operations
