Amanda Shifflett Arrested in Harrisonburg Stolen Car Case

Police locate stolen vehicle near Massanutten

HARRISONBURG, Va. — A woman is in custody following the reported theft of a vehicle in Harrisonburg on Thursday morning, according to local law enforcement officials.

The Harrisonburg Police Department responded to a report of a stolen vehicle near L&S Diner on North Liberty Street. Authorities said the vehicle was later located near the Massanutten area.

Rockingham County Sheriff Bryan Hutcheson confirmed that law enforcement officers arrested the driver, identified as Amanda Shifflett, after locating the vehicle.

Shifflett was taken into custody without further incident and is currently being held at the Rockingham-Harrisonburg Regional Jail.

Officials have not released additional details regarding potential charges or court proceedings. The investigation remains ongoing.
