Amanda Robertson Sentenced for $1M+ Embezzlement in Kentucky

Calloway County bookkeeper stole from employer over 3 years

PADUCAH, KY — A Calloway County woman has been sentenced to federal prison for embezzling over $1 million from her employer while working as a bookkeeper for a construction company.

Amanda S. Robertson, 34, was sentenced this week to 2 years and 1 month in federal prison after being convicted on six counts of wire fraud.

According to the U.S. Department of Justice, Robertson committed the theft between May 2020 and May 2023, using the stolen funds to support several businesses she owned and to pay for personal expenses.

In addition to prison time, Robertson has been ordered to pay $1,470,000 in restitution.

The case was investigated by the FBI Hopkinsville Satellite Office and the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office.
