CAPRON, Ill. (WIFR) — Two Capron residents, Amanda Ramey, 37, and Robert Ramey, 44, have been arrested following a significant police search that uncovered drugs, firearms, and stolen property in Boone County.
On August 28, the Boone County Sheriff’s Office, with assistance from the Belvidere/Boone County SWAT Team, Belvidere K9 Unit, Boone County Animal Control, and North Boone Fire District 3, executed a search warrant at a residence in the 8000 block of Edson Road in Capron.
Deputies recovered multiple narcotics, defaced firearms, and items reported stolen — including a vehicle.
Charges against Amanda Ramey include:
Theft over $500
Unlawful possession of a stolen vehicle
Two counts of defacing firearm ID marks
Unlawful possession of a controlled substance
Five counts of possession of a firearm without a FOID card
Charges against Robert Ramey include:
Theft over $500
Unlawful possession of a stolen vehicle
Two counts of defacing firearm ID marks
Unlawful possession of a controlled substance
Driving while suspended
The Boone County Sheriff’s Office says the investigation is ongoing and more charges could follow.
