WAREHAM (WBSM) — Amanda Manning, 37, of Middleboro, was arrested on December 19 for shoplifting from the Target store in Wareham Crossing, marking her second arrest for similar crimes in just three days.

Wareham Police responded to the store after reports of an active shoplifter. Upon arriving, officers identified Manning, who had fled the store and entered an awaiting vehicle. Police quickly pulled over the vehicle and found Manning attempting to hide in the back seat.

Manning was found to have seven outstanding warrants for her arrest from various courts. She was placed under arrest and ordered held without bail.

The Wareham Police Criminal Investigations Division is investigating the shoplifting incident. Manning has a previous arrest for shoplifting from the Taunton Target in 2019.

Her arrest came just three days after John Vacchino, Jr., 65, of New Bedford was arrested for allegedly shoplifting at the same store, also with multiple warrants.
