EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEVV) — A man is behind bars after breaking into an apartment and threatening a woman with a gun while she was asleep.

Alordo Bell was arrested Sunday morning after a woman reported that she woke up to find him pointing a gun at her head and yelling.

According to police, the victim had accidentally left her front door open while sleeping. Bell entered her apartment and confronted her with a firearm. Terrified, the woman ran outside, with Bell chasing her. She eventually doubled back, locked the door, and called 911.

When officers arrived, Bell refused to comply with arrest orders and assaulted an officer while being placed in a transport van.

He now faces multiple charges, including burglary, intimidation with a deadly weapon, and resisting arrest.
