HARTFORD, Conn. — A Hartford man was arrested and charged with human trafficking offenses following an investigation by East Hartford police.

Authorities said Allen Lozado, 34, was taken into custody on Dec. 29 and charged with three counts of trafficking in persons, coercion, second-degree assault, and criminal mischief. He is being held on a $750,000 bond.

Police allege Lozado used a home in East Hartford to coerce women into prostitution to settle debts they owed him. The home, located in a residential area off Main Street, was later relocated to a property in Chester during the previous summer.

Investigators say Lozado also trafficked women in Windsor Locks, Groton, and New London, often using hotels as locations for the criminal activity.

Lozado was scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 30, 2025. Authorities continue to investigate the case.
