BETTENDORF, Iowa (WKRC) — A Bettendorf woman was arrested after police accused her of operating a drug house known for frequent visits from narcotics users and dealers.
Alisha Keckler, 40, was taken into custody after court records revealed a long-standing investigation into a home on her property. According to OurQuadCities.com, citing an arrest affidavit, the Bettendorf Police Department had been monitoring the residence for over two years, identifying it as a known location for drug activity.
Authorities made a controlled methamphetamine purchase from a dealer followed from Keckler’s home. A search warrant executed on February 25 uncovered multiple drug-related items, including:
A meth bong on a shelf
A meth pipe in Keckler’s bedroom
A plastic bag with eight Gabapentin pills (a prescription-only drug)
A plate with meth residue in her bedroom
A meth pipe and another residue-covered plate in the living room
During the search, officers found three individuals inside. A tenant told investigators that a box of drugs was regularly rotated between bedrooms.
Keckler was charged with:
Gathering where controlled substances are used
Unlawful possession of prescription drugs
She was booked into Scott County Jail on a $6,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court again on March 18.
