FAIRFIELD, Ala. — Authorities have charged 27-year-old Alicia Brown with murder following a deadly shooting early Sunday morning.
Deputies from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call at 5051 Parkway, where they discovered a 29-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by Fairfield Fire & Rescue.
Investigators reported that the incident began as a verbal dispute between the victim and a relative, which escalated into gunfire.
Brown was taken into custody shortly after the shooting and is being held without bond at the Jefferson County Jail.
