A banned Walmart customer is facing felony larceny charges after a Dec. 19 incident at an Aberdeen store. Forty-one-year-old Alfred Norris of Candor was arrested following a report of a larceny in progress at Walmart.

Upon arrival, Aberdeen officers were informed that Norris was in the parking lot attempting to leave in his vehicle. Officers quickly located and detained him. Through witness statements and video surveillance, it was confirmed that Norris had committed larceny by removing an anti-theft device from merchandise. It was also revealed that Norris had previously been banned from the store.

Norris now faces charges of felony larceny from a merchant, damage to property, and second-degree trespassing. His bond has been set at $5,000.
