DUNNELLON, Fla. — Marion County Sheriff’s deputies have arrested 24-year-old Alfio Nocifora after he allegedly stole a septic tank from a construction site on West US Highway 90.
Officials reported that it took two attempts for Nocifora to steal the tank. The first night, he was unable to haul it away, but he returned later with a U-Haul to complete the theft.
Authorities also say Nocifora stole about $2,500 worth of electrical pipe from the site.
He was arrested last week in Citrus County on grand theft charges related to the incident.
