EVANSVILLE, Ind. — Two Tennessee women, Alexis Radley, 30, and 21-year-old Riconna Radley, have been arrested for attempting to cash forged checks at a local bank, according to the Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities say Alexis Radley cashed a fraudulent check for $2,291.85 around noon at a Fifth Third Bank branch on Vogel Road. The check’s memo line read “great job.” Shortly after, Riconna Radley attempted to cash another forged check for $4,500 with the same memo line at the same bank.
Bank officials reported that the checks were stolen and the amounts had been altered. When the second check was being verified, Riconna left the bank, leaving the check and her ID behind.
Both women were identified through the bank’s surveillance footage and were later arrested during a traffic stop.
Alexis and Riconna Radley face charges including fraud on a financial institution, counterfeiting, forgery, and theft.
