BLUE MOUNDS, WI — Actress Alexandra Paul was arrested following an animal rights protest at a dog-breeding and research facility in Wisconsin.

According to the Dane County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a trespassing call at Ridglan Farms on March 15. Authorities said Paul was among 50 to 60 protesters who allegedly entered the facility and began removing dogs.

Officials reported that approximately 20 individuals were taken into custody during the incident. Investigators also seized two vehicles, along with burglary tools and other evidence at the scene.

Sheriff Kalvin Barrett acknowledged the strong emotions surrounding the treatment of animals at the facility but emphasized that law enforcement must respond when laws are broken. He encouraged concerned individuals to pursue lawful and constructive avenues for advocacy.

Authorities said some of the beagles removed during the protest have been recovered and returned to the facility, though several remain unaccounted for. The case remains under investigation.
