A man has been sentenced after committing fraud at the One Stop Shop on Greys Road.

On 4 June 2025, 38-year-old Alexander Lynn-Parsley, of no fixed abode, used a stolen bank card to make a £50 purchase at the store. He was arrested later that day and formally charged on 5 June.

Lynn-Parsley appeared at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on 3 December, where he pleaded guilty to fraud by false representation.

He was issued a community order and ordered to pay a fine, a victim surcharge, and court costs.

Investigating officer PC Adam Hooley said, “This was a deliberate act to deprive the rightful owner of their money. We hope this outcome reassures the public that such offences are taken seriously.”
