Alexander Huerta, 17, Arrested in Hamlin Liquor Theft

Over $4,000 in stolen liquor recovered after citizen tips

HAMLIN, Texas — A 17-year-old has been arrested for allegedly stealing over $4,000 worth of inventory from Hamlin Liquor.

Police say Alexander Huerta committed the theft on Sunday. Following an investigation and the execution of a search warrant, officers arrested Huerta the next day.

Authorities confirmed that all stolen merchandise was recovered and has since been returned to the store owner.

The Hamlin Police Department credited the quick resolution of the case to local residents who came forward with tips.

“The Hamlin Police Department extends its sincere thanks to the citizens who came forward with information. Your support was instrumental in making the arrest and ensuring the stolen property was returned to its rightful owner,” the department said in a statement.
